When using a pressure relief valve, there are a few things to keep in mind: First, the pressure relief valve can be installed either horizontally or vertically, but it must be done in the correct direction of the inlet and outlet of the valve body. Typically, a fire water supply system only needs to be fitted with a pressure relief valve. Secondly, if the drain port of the pressure relief valve is far away and the length of the discharge pipeline is more than 20 meters, the diameter of the discharge pipe should be one level larger than the specification of the pressure relief valve, so as to prevent back pressure caused by poor discharge and ensure the stability of the pressure pressure of the pipe network in front of the pressure relief valve. In addition, in the process of pressure testing of the fire water supply system, if the system test pressure is higher than the nominal pressure of the selected pressure relief valve, the shut-off valve of the pressure relief valve should be closed to avoid damage or failure to the pressure relief valve.
